Surface Treatment of Die Casting Molds
Aluminum alloy die-casting molds must exhibit high hot strength and tempering stability to achieve superior resistance to thermal fatigue and excellent wear resistance. By employing an optimized heat treatment process—free from decarburization and deformation, while ensuring a refined microstructure and optimal hardness—mold performance is maximized. This is because decarburization or carburization on the mold surface can severely compromise its thermal fatigue strength, leading to premature thermal fatigue cracking and significantly reducing the mold's service life.
